Two University of Denver recruits have been named to the USA Under-18 Team that will participate in the 2012 IIHF World Hockey Championships to be held April 12-22 in the Czech Republic.  Forward Quinten Shore & defenseman Will Butcher will play for USA.

Butcher is only 16 years old, but was named to the squad thanks to his stellar play in the past year.

Mankato fired Troy Jutting yesterday as head hockey coach. Guessing that Derek Lalonde will be on their short list.

Too bad about Troy, he was a nice guy, from my interactions I had with him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Steve Miller apply for this opening. He's been in the mix for many jobs but has always fallen short, though I believe he has been offered a D3 position or two over the years.

Is Seth Jones going to college? Or MJ?

Killer Miller would be an excellent choice. Not only does he have extensive coaching experience but he is also a top recruiter.

Seth Jones is still undecided, he is choosing between North Dakota or Everett.
