Despite an 8-7 lead with only 19 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the #10 Pioneers lost 9-8 in overtime to then #17 Fairfield on Saturday afternoon at Lessing Field in Connecticut. With the loss, Denver dropped to 7-5 over all and 3-3 in the E.C.A.C., clinching the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament thanks to Air Force’s 14-4 loss to Ohio State over the weekend.
